Wednesday, January 05, 2011
Over 100 children ages 3-18, from throughout the state of Maryland, will be strutting down the runway to show off their creatively designed sleepwear at the 4th Annual Kami’s Jammies Fashion Show to benefit programs of the Casey Cares Foundation, a charity that provides uplifting programs with a special touch to critically ill children and their families.
“OH, The Places We'll Go" is the Dr. Seuss theme of the 4th Annual Kami’s Jammies Fashion Show on Saturday January 8, 2011, from 7:00 – 10:00pm at Northeast High School’s Auditorium and sponsored by the Drama Dept. Children have designed and will wear pajama ensembles representing programs of the Casey Cares Foundation.
One of six programs of the Casey Cares Foundation, the Kami’s Jammies program offers new sleepwear and themed monthly pajama parties to children on extended stays at area hospitals. The program was named in memory of Kamryn Lambert from Pasadena, MD who bravely battled leukemia, and felt special when she wore a new pair of pajamas during her frequent overnight hospital stays.
