Five-year-old Maverick has faced challenges that most children never will. Diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome), a rare blood disorder, he continues to receive care at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Children’s Center, where his courage and bright smile inspire everyone around him.
Since joining Casey Cares in 2022, Maverick and his family have experienced special moments that help them recharge and reconnect: from exciting days at the zoo and children’s museum to cheering on the Annapolis Blues soccer team. These moments remind his family that joy can still shine through even on the hardest days.
