Good Things Come to Those Who Bait

Posted: May 16, 2018

Did you know that Rockfish, better known as Striped Bass or Stripers, are Maryland’s official state fish? We think a good day of fishing is better than a bad day anywhere else and we’d like you to join us June 1st for a day on the Chesapeake Bay fishing and supporting the Casey Cares Foundation!

According to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Rockfish are Maryland's most important commercial and recreational fish species. The recreational record for a Chesapeake Bay striped bass is 67 pounds, 8 ounces. After our Tournament, there will be first and second prizes awarded for longest fish as well as a Captain’s Challenge fundraising competition among participating boats.

The day will end with the Captain’s Party, where you can enjoy cocktails and dinner at the beautiful Inn at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Resort. You’ll be able to enjoy some of the fish caught that day!
