Laura Hatcher

If you’ve run the Casey Cares 5K in the past, you have no doubt seen the Hatcher family – just look for the superhero capes!  12 year old Simon is one of our Casey Cares kiddos – and the Hatcher’s do all they can to support our programs.

“The best part of walking in the Casey Cares 1K with Simon is getting to see him CRUSH it with his walker. For a kid with cerebral palsy, that's kind of a big deal! And of course we can't walk without our team of Simon's heroes and our capes (because why would anyone turn down the chance to rock a cape?)”, says mom Laura.

“We participate in the Casey Cares 5K for so many reasons! It's a really fun way to celebrate our child with a life-threatening condition, Simon, and our "team" of friends and family who support us -- Simon's Superheroes. It's also a wonderful opportunity to give back a little and share our love for an organization that has brought our family, and so many other families of kids with life-threatening conditions, many moments of joy big and small.”

We appreciate all the Hatcher’s do to support us, while at the same time we’re supporting them!   If you see “Simon’s Superheroes” along the route, be sure to say hello!

You can support families just like Simon's.  Register today!
