Meeting the Braves: Wesley and Wyatt

Posted: Mar 10, 2023

A sunny day down in Florida was made special for twins Wesley and Wyatt thanks to the Atlanta Braves.

Thanks to the generosity of the Atlanta Braves, twins Wesley and Wyatt, both diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, and their home health nurse, Elexas, enjoyed a special afternoon. Wesley and Wyatt attended an on-field VIP Experience followed by watching batting practice, got autographs from players, and visited the LECOM Legends Club.

Elexas is the twins home health nurse and accompanied them to the game as the boy’s father recovers from surgery and is assisted by their mother.

After arriving at the stadium, the 12-year-old boys entered through the VIP doors and headed on-field for batting practice where they also met the bat boy.

Elexas stated that, “both boys were given the game balls and won a volleyball during a game giveaway.” The twins then sat in the LECOM Legends Club where they “loved taking a break in the AC and got free sodas and snacks,” she said.

The nurse concluded, “Thank you so much, the boys are so grateful! They had smile on their faces the entire time; they loved it!

Thank you again to the Atlanta Braves for giving little moments and lasting memories to Wesley and Wyatt and their healthcare hero! Casey Cares always appreciates in-kind donations of tickets to sporting events for the kids in our programs! Please email them to Summer at Summer@CaseyCaresFoundation.org.
